Alisa Harris

Alisa Harris

Alisa's Scot-Irish mountain roots (Asheville, NC) and travels abroad have drawn her to the Mulligan's. In addition to aiding this grievous but happy family, Alisa has been seen about town riding the Henrietta III performing in their varied dinner-theatre cruises. She's also featured as lusty landlady, Vera, in a live weekly sitcom, SIDES, performed at the Browncoat every Monday night.

She's spent more than 35 years on stage. Some favorite shows include: HAIR (Jeanie), INTO THE WOODS (Jack's Mom & Witch), A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM (Helena & Titania), ROCKY HORROR SHOW (Eddie), STEEL MAGNOLIAS (Truvy), CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF (Sister Woman), ROBBER BRIDEGROOM (Salome, the witch), BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS (Doatsy Mae), DEATHTRAP (Helga Ten Dorp) and all her various roles in theatre for children.

She's also directed and produced local theatre, spent 8 years as a talent agent for film and tv actors and more than 18 years as a graphic designer and art director. Alisa now spends her time performing, reading, drawing pet portraits, watching the Red Sox and amusing her dingo, Boston.

Anthony Lawson

Anthony Lawson

After an eight month sabbatical in the Alaskan tundra, Anthony has returned to the Wilmington Theater Scene. As a master impersonator he was able to blend in with the native Eskimo and learn valuable lessons that he brought back with him to enhance each and every performance. Catching Seals, wrestling Kodak bears and ice fishing may be added to the performance to showcase his new talents.

Lynette O'Callaghan

Lynette O'Callaghan

Lynette O'Callaghan has been an active participant in local theatre and film since the early 90's!!! Her credits include various production with Cape Fear Shakespeare, The Thalian Association, and Minerva. She was Connie in Opera House's "A Chorus Line."

She has taken a little break to produce with her husband Tim a twelve year old son, Carson and four year old Tallulah. She loved performing with Porch Theatre Company in Mulligan's Wake and The Totally 80's prom. She looks forward to future work with the company. She also enjoys her side job as a wedding/event planner and loves going to the beach with her family!! Life is a beach!!!

Maxwell O Paige II

Maxwell O Paige II

Some of Maxwell's life in the theatre were in "The Full Monty", When You Coming back Red Ryder"," Life in 3-D & Color" and the longest running play in Wilmington " Driving Miss Daisey" with Linda Lavin. When not on stage Maxwell has been known to do magic with paint!!!

Heather Setzler

Heather Setzler

Heather Setzler would like to welcome everyone to the Mulligan family, although she's not exactly a member herself.. or is she?

When not stalking sweaty Irish bartenders, she likes to knit wedding veils. She has two cats, collects My Little Ponies, and dreams of one day settling down in Burgaw. She loves a good Rory story, but likes it better when you just SKIP TO THE END!

Derek Smith

Derek Smith

Derek Smith is formally trained in Field Ecology of the arid high desert of the American Southwest. At age 26, after eight years of study, work and backpacking he made the obvious choice. He moved to the beach in Southeastern Carolina and took up life in the theatre, met his wife Suzanne and the rest is, well, a story.

After fifteen years of life in front of and behind the scenes of stage and screen, Derek has taken up residence firmly behind the scenes and helps coordinate The porch theatre Company with his wife, builds the occasional set and more often than not can be found directing one thing or another. He also has come to realize that taking cues from his eleven year old son is very helpful in theatre..

In his spare time this Vermont Yankee can be found in his cabinet shop making custom tables, chairs, cabinets and other works of fine art.

Suzanne Smith

Suzanne Smith

She has worked for the Tony Award-winning Children's Theatre Company in Minneapolis. While with the Company, she created the "Around Series" which developed educational and family programs that complemented the theater-going experience.

Suzanne has been very active in theatre in Wilmington for 15 years. She was a writer on the popular live series "Shelf Life," and teaches Drama at Broadway on Second Arts Camp. In 2006-07 she brought the Kidz Flix children's film series to Thalian Hall.

She is very involved with the PTA at her son's school and won Volunteer of the Year from The New Hanover County PTA and School system. Her day job is Director of Outreach and Audience services at Thalian Hall.

Suzanne partner in Life and Theatre is Derek T. Smith

Nathan Ryan Verwey

Nathan Ryan Verwey

Nathan was originally born in Alaska. His father was one of the frontier founders of Alaska. He was raised for the first fifteen years on a blubber farm only to find out his passion was in daredevil stunts. The next five years he spent pursuing bigger and better thrills than anyone else. After a freak accident, Nathan found himself in a children's hospital where he found a new love "Puppetry"! He then partnered with many famous artists which led to a guest spot on The Tonight Show. The Tonight Show appearance got him an audition for Mulligan's and the rest his story.

Emily Young

Emily Young

Emmy Young is elated to be back in the theatrical swing of things! Having been thoroughly involved in the theater community back in the "good old days" she helped co-found 5&Dime Cultural Productions and the comedy improv troupe "Live Without Annette The Not Ready For Last Call Players". Perhaps some of you may remember us...we were very active and notorious during the first half of the 1990s!

Life necessitated a change in venue and Emmy pursued a career as an Extras Casting Director for productions in film. Needless to say she thrilled to be back where she thinks she belongs... You can take the girl out of the theatre but you can never take the theatre out of the girl!
